Walk&Talk Theatre Company is offering TWO Micro-Commissions of $500 to TWO performance-creators. These micro-commissions will take place during the week of November 14 - 18, 2022 and be shared at Walk&Talk&Bits&Bites - a night of sharing ideas, sketches & works-in-progress from Walk&Talk, on November 23, 2022 at the Manitoba Association of Playwrights Studio! The successful candidates will be able to share, at minimum, 10 minutes of new work at this showcase. Walk&Talk will be able to act as readers, dancers, actors and musicians as needed. 

We are looking for ONE micro-commission of a new musical theatre piece and ONE micro-commission of a new physical theatre/dance piece. 

Walk&Talk will be able to provide studio space and dramaturgical/creative support from Duncan Cox, Ben Townsley & Tanner Manson. Walk&Talk will also provide archival footage & documentation of these new works-in-progress.

*Please feel free to submit as an individual or as a partnership/collective but please note we are only able to offer $500 per project in creative fees.*

HOW TO SUBMIT

Please submit a 500 word elevator pitch describing the project you would like to work on for this week-long micro-commission. Please also provide a resume and an example/excerpt/description of previous work you’ve created, if possible. 

Submissions are due October 21st, 2022.
